Located on Main Street in Dunedin, Florida, Casa Tina started off, more than 10 years ago, as a complete vegetarian restaurant. Over the years they have expanded in size and evolved into a full authentic Mexican Restaurant.
Casa Tina is a family favorite; a great place to celebrate birthdays, family gatherings, and your weekend date night. With the vibrant and authentic atmosphere, when you step through the doors you feel as if you were transported straight to Mexico.
Once seated at your table while admiring the crosses and skulls on the bold color painted walls, your server greets you with a basket of chips and salsa. On this particular visit to Casa Tina, Ryan and I were partaking in our weekly date night. As you can tell in the photo below, we did not hold back when ordering our favorite Mexican specialties.
What are our Mexican favorites you ask? That is a difficult question in our home as Mexican food is our favorite ethnic food. But, if we had to choose, Ryan would say Fajitas and on this visit to Casa Tina that is what he ordered. That is a combo of steak and chicken fajitas, served with red and green peppers, as well as onions and flour tortillas. Of course the fajitas were complemented with black beans and Mexican rice and all the toppings (guacamole, sour cream, and cheese). We ordered the plantains to share (as you can see in the picture, one side order is large enough for two), and they were cooked to plantain perfection. The non/sometimes meat eater that I am ordered veggies quesadillas and oh goodness were they muy bueno. These veggie quesadillas consisted of; corn, peppers, and zucchini, and of course cheese. This was actually my first time ordering the veggie quesadillas and I would definitely order them again.
Honestly, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu at Casa Tina. Other items on the menu I have tried are:
– Dos Frijoles Dip
– Queso Fundido
– Guacamole Salad
– Just Another Taco Salad
– Shrimp and Mango Quesadillas
– American Tacos
– Pescado Al Mojo De Ajo
– Rice and Beans
